It is clear that the government was aware they still had documents there because they arrived in June. Nobody has alleged that representatives of Donald Trump falsely claimed to have provided all the documents. “ And I could tell you anyone in the intelligence community that had, uh, documents like that marked top secret SCI, uh, in their residence after authorities went to them, um, you know, they would be under serious investigation.” “ If, uh, the Trump people represented that they provided all the classified or national security information and didn’t, that’s a serious problem.” Schiff replied shifting the focus and spin. Schiff was perplexed and replied, “I don’t know.” However, that is the real inquiry that needs to be made in this situation. One of the most knowledgeable members of the party and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff, was unable to respond. I’d even add another point to that - why did they wait three days after they got the warrant on August 5 to execute it? When this is merely a Washington Post “sources” report in the warrant there is no proof that there were any “nuclear” documents. “If there was that sensitive level of information being held, why did Justice Department officials wait 18 months after the end of the Trump presidency?” Brennan questioned the California representative, “What changed that made this immediate?” Adam Schiff struggled to respond, it was clear that he had failed to adequately explain the situation! For almost four years, prominent Democrat politicians and commentators alleged that President Trump colluded with Russia, with Chairman Schiff going so far as to say that he had “direct evidence” of collusion. This news, if accurate, is disturbing-especially in light of Chairman Schiff’s cries in 2019 for transparency regarding allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. We understand now that Chairman Schiff is blocking the release of these transcripts. According to public reports, HPSCI voted in September 2018 to release 53 transcripts. In March 2018, after interviewing 73 individuals and reviewing over 300,000 documents, HPSCI issued a report finding that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia.
